Alexander has already started two successful bike companies, so we think it's safe to say that he's a bit of an expert. Alexander's knowledge and network is priceless, which is also why he's in charge of all the selling. He's just impossible to say no to. You'll see.
Ben says that he’s a cliché Australian, in that he’s part amphibious and always missing his domestic surfing. While in Copenhagen, he still gets stoked on marketing innovative products, which is why he accepted the challenge of getting Donkey Republic into the top of everybody’s minds as our marketing manager.
We are really proud to have our very own Catalan spreading the Donkey word all around Spain. David loves startups and digital companies, but also field hockey - of all things. Useful tip: if you want to get on his good side in the morning, don't offer him coffee, but only naturally squeezed orange juice.
Denise is our riders’ voice inside the team, as she listens to their actual voices all day. She knows their woes and desires, and makes sure we always put them first, having a big say in how features are developed and the user experience - improved. Also, she loves her plants almost as much as she does the human brain.
Erdem is the CEO and founder of Donkey Republic. He's originally from Istanbul, but his big love for bikes took him straight to Denmark. Before heading up this company, Erdem helped build two other startups and worked as a McKinsey consultant.
Henry is the stable master for our livestock. He knows all the Donkeys' darkest secrets, he tames them, grooms them and makes sure you'll swing into full gear once you saddle up.
Jens is our very own software and firmware superman, our trusted CTO, the office DJ and the company's bike commuter star - owing to his daily hour-long ride to work. Rest assured, he enjoys every bit of it.
Our data analyst has the fascinating skill of telling the Donkey Republic story in numbers and charts. He somehow manages to study economics at University of Copenhagen and Berkeley, California at the same time. He’s a true Copenhagener, in that, on average, he gets a bike stolen every other month.
Lorenzo gets really inspired by new technology and innovation. Luckily, we witness that first-hand whenever he eagerly shares a new idea on how to put Donkey Republic into ever new contexts and connections. Besides being one of our business developers, he's also a graduate student at Copenhagen Business School.
Marlena came to Denmark for her master studies in organisational innovation and entrepreneurship. She has a thing for office spaces and design, because she believes that our surroundings influence the way we think and work. Until she'll bring as many bikes in her native Poland as there are in Denmark, Marlena is helping us keep our riders happy and informed, as a customer support responsible.
Hearing Marek’s travel stories, you wouldn’t think he’s the kind of guy who spends too much time in front of a computer screen. But don’t be fooled; he’s a dedicated app developer on a quest to bring Donkey Republic to your Android phones.
Martin has a background in electrical engineering. However, at some point along the way he decided to learn iOS programming instead, in order to build his own startup. Today, he's helping push forward Donkey Republic's mission as an iOS developer.
Matteo researches potential new markets, where our special breed of Donkeys could spread and prosper. He also helps new partners onboard and keeps the spirits high in the office - the genuine Italian way.
Native speaker of both French and code, Pierre spends a whole lot of time making sense of all the data back there, in the depths of our software. He's part of the reason everything runs smoothly, including your ride.
Rune loves Lego (yes, the Danish brick), and maybe that's why he's so good at building stuff. He's the Donkey Republic product owner, and ensures the implementation of all new features. If you need anything from Rune, it's always a good idea to bring cake. Always.
Sabina sees the world in symbols and metaphors. Her job is to play with words and make the Donkey bray. She's also currently exploring Copenhagen on a bike and bringing you the experience on a silver platter (i.e. on citiesontwowheels.com).
Sabrina has a soft spot for eclectic topics. With Donkey Republic, she decided to challenge both her writing and cycling skills, because she's currently documenting the identity of the Donkey Rider and writing about adventures on two wheels while - finally - learning how to bike herself. Trust us, it doesn't get more exciting than discovering cycling explorations through a freshman's eyes.
Our very own Lithuanian business developer gets equally psyched about biking, long-distance running and munching cakes. Saulius came to Denmark to study social entrepreneurship and stayed for the lovely weather and awesome bike infrastructure. And for the love of two-wheeled Donkeys, of course.
Yoav's passion for programming is obvious in anything he does. He knows his iOS, which is really lucky for us. Now, he's joined the movement aka Donkey Republic and will make sure you will love our app. Yoav is from Israel, contributing to our diversity!
Appart from her contagious smile, Vaiva is likely to become your favourite office buddy because she always brings sweet treats from her travels. She could also easily upstage you at a singing session, especially when it comes to that 80's classics playlist. In a nutshell, we call her SuperVaiva, and you will easily understand the reason once you meet her!
Say hello to our business development guy for Germany and Netherlands! Konrad is from Hamburg but he admits cycling in Copenhagen is the apple of his eye (no offence, Hamburg!). If he's not travelling to set up happy Donkeys just ask him to recommend you some tunes, and his mastery of Dungeons and Dragons can only make other prospective players jealous!
